Hempel announces new management of the executive group

A new Executive Group Management (EGM) at Hempel A / S will pave the way to double its turnover to 3 billion euros by 2025, with a simpler organization, closer to customers.

“I am delighted to announce the changes today,” said Lars Petersson, Group President and CEO. “My new management team will lead a new way of working at Hempel – we have organized our business into an even more customer-centric structure, which will unleash the potential and energy of the organization to implement our Double Impact strategy. “

Hempel’s business activities are now organized into key segments: Marine, led by EVP Alexander Enström; Energy and Infrastructure, chaired by Executive Vice President Michael Hansen; and Decorative, led by Executive Vice President Joe Devitt.

Katarina Lindström, COO and EVP, now leads technology and operations; Lars Dollerup, CFO and EVP, now supervises Finance & Digital; and Pernille Fritz Vilhelmsen, Chief People & Culture Officer and EVP, heads People & Culture. Strategy & Transformation also joins EGM, headed by VP René Overgaard Jensen.

“One year on from the start of our Double Impact strategy and we have made great progress,” added Petersson. “We’re on the right track, but from now on the mountain gets steeper and we’ve changed the way we work to allow us to grow faster and prepare to grow the business with future acquisitions. “

The new general management of the group replaces the old matrix structure with a two-level management, comprising a general management committee and an operational management committee. The new way of working gives Hempel a simpler organizational structure, with clearer roles and responsibilities, allowing for future growth and closer alignment with customers.
