The cast of Matrix resurrections return to the impact of The matrix and how has it changed their world?
Of course, this all leads to the highly anticipated film – Matrix resurrections – the long-awaited fourth film in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre.
New movie reunites original stars Keanu reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles they’ve made famous – Neo and Trinity – although this time around it looks like they’re back in The Matrix and have no memory of who they are.
We know that Neo sacrificed himself in The Matrix Reloaded, negotiating with the supercomputers to stop the attack on the human city of Zion. And we also know that Trinity was fatally injured helping Neo reach her final destination. So, is this a rebirth? Or just another loop in The Architect’s well-designed coding? The Oracle said, “he would come back … someday!”
In the rabbit hole we go.
The film also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (the “Aquaman” franchise) Jessica henwick (The “iron fist” of television), Jonathan groff (“Hamilton”), Neil patrick harris (“Missing girl”), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (“Quantico”), Christina ricci (“The Chronicles of Lizzie Borden”), Telma Hopkins (“Dead to me”), Erendira Ibarra (“Sense8”), Toby Onwumere (“Empire”), Max Riemelt (“Sense8”), Brian J. Smith (“Sense8”), and Jada Pinkett Smith (“Gotham”).
Matrix resurrections will be in theaters nationwide and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021; it will be available on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release.
