How has the film been rated so far?

Atrangi Re has only been available to stream through Disney Plus Hotstar for a few hours, but the first ratings and reviews previews are already available.

It looks like the film will have a noticeable disparity between reviews from fans and critics; scoring a solid 7.7 / 10 on IMDB but mostly having negative reviews.

The Times of India rates Atrangi Re 3.5 / 5 and says the story is a “unique concept that takes you down a weirdly strange path.”

The same rating is given by Koimoi, who said that while the “twisted love triangle” is commendable, the film is disappointed in terms of comedic value.

First Post gives the film a disappointing 1/5 score, calling the plot “bizarre” while simply titling their review, “Dear Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan, Why?”

Atrangi Re received a two out of five star rating on NDTV, explaining that “the love story is incapable of converting its crucial plot into anything other than a one-turn show.”

However, it’s not all bad news, with Bollywood Hungama scoring the film 4/5 and claiming that “the performances, the musical score and several well-executed scenes make the film a watchable fare.”
