A Robe lighting system stands front and center at Denmark’s largest international music festival, Roskilde, illuminating the Orange stage and arena.
Lighting designer, Sune Verdier led the production lighting for the arena stage, with the production lighting design including 40 Robe MegaPointes and 48 Spiiders at the head of the platform, positioned on 10 automated farms. Front and rear fixed trusses are also fitted with left and right side ladders, allowing the lighting space to be filled.
Both side ladders are fitted with a 3×3 array of Robe Spiiders, accentuating the depth of the scene and providing lighting for behind-the-camera shots for the IMAG video mix.
Guest lighting designers also have access to a lighting platform ‘menu card’, with eight dynamic and different truss configurations created using 10 trusses on an automation system.
27 2-light moles are used for the blinders, along with 20 conventional 2K strobes and Fresnels for the front general illumination and six moving profile spotlights for the keys.
Roskilde Orange stage lighting production was also supported by a Robe lighting rig with 82 MegaPointes, 80 Spiiders, 10 BMFL Wash XFs, four BMFL LTs, two BMFL spotlights and a six-way RoboSpot system supplied by Victory Tour Production.
